Health and safety in the rural area of Cluj

“Health and safety in the rural area of Cluj” is a public local initiative that we decided to support financially. The project involves local and regional authorities, in partnership with medical staff and volunteers from the Military Hospital, the Oncological Hospital, the Heart Institute, medical and pharmaceutical students NGOs, Medical International Rescue Association, National Anti-Drug Agency and The National Agency Against Trafficking of Persons.

It includes activities of identification and prevention of the progression of medical conditions that can be detected early, both through health and safety education and through medical investigations (internal medicine, women's health, pediatrics, geriatrics, ophthalmology, nutrition, etc.), developed in the rural areas. The first round of activities will start in Așchileu (Cluj), between the 24th of September and the 1st of October and will continue in other villages from Cluj, where there is no family doctor to assist the people in their medical needs.

Free medical investigations in the rural area is, we believe, so necessary, and hopefully will make a difference for as many people as possible.
